Charles Fox is one of the composers that has been instrumental in my (SCL President Dan Foliart) career as a mentor and an inspiration during my formative days at Paramount Studios. As I speak, his music is playing in all corners of the world. His contributions to the television medium are legend. From the 1969 series, LOVE AMERICAN STYLE to three series that I was fortunate enough to be associated with, HAPPY DAYS, LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY and ANGIE to the forever classic the LOVE BOAT, his themes will always be apart television history. His motion picture credits, too numerous to mention, include such favorites as BARBARELLA, FOUL PLAY, GOOD-BYE COLUMBUS, ONE ON ONE, and THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY. He has written musicals, ballets and hit songs. I'VE GOT A NAME, READY TO TAKE A CHANCE AGAIN and KILLING ME SOFTLY along with his incredible catalogue of other wonderful songs led to his induction earlier this year to the Songwriting Hall of Fame. He was awarded BMI's Lifetime Achievement Award and his incredible career just keeps going. Special guests attending the SCL Holiday Dinner to pay tribute to Charles Fox to be announced.
